phpmyadmin 2 - left pane vanishes when click browse?!

I have a server running mysql4, which limits me to version 2 of phpMyAdmin, and even with the most recent version I'm having an odd problem.

When I've selected a database, and clicking the little 'browse' icons next to the table names in the left nav pane, sometimes instead of actually displaying the 'browse' page on the right, the left hand pane will vanish (slide to 0 width instantly) and nothing more happens. If I try clicking the 'browse' link on the top of the right hand pane, nothing else happens either.

This isn't happening on empty tables, and isn't always happening on every populated table either. And I'm using firefox.

Anyone else seen this?
 
Turns out, after testing on other peoples machines, that somehow adblock was finding the word 'advert' in the hrefs on tables with 'advert' in their name (of which there are several) and managing to mess them up.
