Not sure if PPG is for this subforum but:

http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=41877

Only the gamers laptops have the full GPU models that can handle the additional effects. Now that's a very small market share of laptops atm.

Obviously Dell see gaming laptops as a growing market - a bit like taking your console on the road with you..

Ageia need to learn there hardware is great its there software that’s letting them down big time. They need more and better game support.

As much fun as http://www.gametrailers.com/player/23817.html Crazy Machines 2 will be its never going be a big seller.

Still at least with the amount of Laptops and PC that come with the PPU inbuilt the user base will increase. That can only be good as it means better/more software support. It’s the start of the 3Dcard market all over again.

Very interesting bit in that article to me.

We also managed to learn the problem with PhysX and PCIe. It turned out that not all motherboards featuring PCIe x1 slot are compatible with PhysX card, but not in a way you would imagine. Loads of 1st generation motherboards with PCIe x1 slots do not adhere to PCIe x1 specification and there is quite a lot of jittering in signal, resulting in errors during operation.

Ageia's prototype PCI/PCIe card had issues with several popular motherboards and company decided not to risk the release of a product that might not be compatible with some users. Couple of card manufacturers confirmed this to us as well, but it all depends on what latency you require from the slot. Funky business indeed - reminded us of whole PCIe war between ATI and Nvidia, when ATI claimed and proved that Nvidia has a lot of signalling issues with GeForce PCX (first gen, NV3x based chips) cards. Nevertheless, that is all water under the bridge now.

Maybe this is why there is such a shortage of PCIe x1 products? :)

agiea card is even more useless now, they should have got bioshock under thier wings to show fluid movement, but bioshock has so much water and the ppu is damn slow so its never gonna happen.

“*cough* no games *cough*”
The game list is getting largeer now with 20ish games and 20 more tech demos, demos and things to play with

“much water and the ppu is damn slow so its never gonna happen.!”
Any evidence or is that just something else your making up?
