[PICS] My new car! (Honda Civic 1.5i LS)

I'm sick of this.

I have nothing to prove, anyone can find the evidence of all my car history online themselves. Do some quotes with my post code, see for yourself. I can't believe some people on an internet forum can be so petty.

Have fun.

If you had 10 000 posts you would be believed, people would be licking your behind etc. But because you dont, you just get abused.

FWIW im 23, had license since i was 16 (provisional) ive had no speeding fines, no tickets, no crashes, no claims, completely clean license, 5 years ncb, and i cant get a quote on a civic Sir / EG6 / EK4 (b series engined civics). I dont get why they are so expensive to insure really.

Hope you enjoy your car though its very nice, I too doubt you can insure it, you would have been better off with the 1.4 16v, which is still quite quick!

Thats pretty bad, im 21 2ncb and can insure a b16a engined civic for 600 a year.

Tidy first car but EG>EK everytime! :D

Expect to get shafted for insurance, my esi (EG5 1.6 sohc vtec) was £1800+ for my first year! (now pay £800+ for a 2.2 prelude at 21/22)

I'm the idiot on the left, the other two guys are the drummer and keyboard player from the mars volta, met them last year round the back of a gig they did in london, oh and next to that on the left in the wheel from my now, slowly rotting, civic :D:(

Just to prove my point i went and did a quote assuming i was 18 now. With no mods however on my old car. I got my actual one over the phone with admiral and listed my mods, my policy was 700 something as standard and then bumped up to 800 or low 900 with all my mods listed (though not insured for), fully comp, 1 years no claim bonus, only adding my dad as an additional named drive on 'infrequent use'. No claims or accidents.

Case and point. Either you lot all live in the ghetto or insurance just don't like you.

I did pay 1400 odd in my first year insuring my 1995 honda civic lsi coupe (different car). So i can understand the whole outroar in this thread but my second year with my newer car was much cheaper even with all my mods, heck insurance on the 330ci i want now is only a couple hundred more than if i were to get a civic now. But my insurance was relatively cheap at 18 with all those mods, i had plenty of friends with civics at the same age with that many mods paying around the same price and plenty of friends with better cars and brand new cars paying even less.

If i bother to scan up my policy when i hit home will you lot offer an apology? :D

That proves nothing, yes scan the policy I however still dont believe you.

I'm paying £550 on my Mk2 Golf 1.6. I'm 19 with 2 years driving experience and no no claims. Nothing to shout home about I know, but I also get quoted £700~ for a GTI and £1000~ for a Mk3 VR6.

I'm with Flexibell and adding my parents on did drop it by a couple hundred quid.

So why were you surprised at my policy cost? Mine was nearly double and my car was cheaper to insure as its the 1.6 sohc non v-tec and coupe. Change your age to 18 and i bet it's the same. Add a parent and it'll take off a couple hundred, add all the mods i have and with admiral it only adds a couple hundred.
It all makes sense now doesn't it.

No, im hoping that everyone in this thread is right too, if not we will all apologise me included. at 19 my insurance dropped considerably 20 and now 21 dropped a lot more, I do not believe you can be fully comp with mods for that price maybe unmodded but never modded.

Have you ever tried to add mods? It costs barely anything additional with admiral. Stop thinking and go do a quote.

No problem. I'll get it scanned up tomorrow for solid proof. I'll be expecting apologies with a free cake.

No cake im afraid but apologies definately.

I cant do it via admiral either, there quote for me was something like 1k already.

I still find it funny that this thread is going on. I stated i could prove it, i'm no longer at home now but will be again tomorrow so can scan my policy. I however don't really care anymore. I'm only in here as i saw the thread pop up.

I just couldn't believe that anyone could doubt me considering i'm not claiming anything out of the ordinary and that it actually is true. That you can simply check my other accounts on car enthusiast forums where i'm a well known member, where i've probably mentioned my insurance and its costs YEARS AGO (what you think i went and time travelled and posted in 2007 about my insurance and its costs so i could come on here and prove it?). Even the fact i've previously posted plenty here about my car with photos etc. That i had stated i would and have no problem proving it, just need to go home to get my policy.

Times have changed, these forums are just ridiculous now. I can't even tell if people are just having me on for a laugh.

i believe you.and i cant believe all these silly jokers on here who give this site a bad name. They must have sad lives because i dont see this on other forums as much.People accusing him of lying because his first car is a 1.5civic! a saxo vtr at 17 is less than 2g a year full comp for my brother.Im 27.when i was 19 I was insured on a clio 172 Sport for 1400 fully comp...dont waste your time trying to prove to these fools, it just feeds them.
