Picture of 20" Widescreen monitor

Hi there chaps,

This may sound silly but I would really like to see the difference in size between a 19" TFT and a 20.1" Widescreen... Ideally id like the two monitors to be side by side so I can judge the differnce in screen size...

Another pic of a 24" next to them would be ideal too!! ;0

there is onlt 1" difference in size but its the resolution that makes the real difference 19" 1024x1280. 20" 1600x1200 you can fit so much more on the screen, there used to be a chart for comparing the sizes on here but i cannot find it sorry

Get the screen width/height and draw it on a table/wall. Then you can actually see it in real life

Thanx a million Heartless... thats exactely what i wanted to see!!

What do you think of the Viewsonic Widescreen? I have the same 19" monitor as you (VX912B)... Im not going to keep two monitors so would you exchange the 19" for the 20" wide if you were me?

For me it makes a difference because I use my computer for TV and DVD. Not enough space in my room for a TV etc. So getting a widescreen for me was a big boost as the TV/DVD picture is not a lot bigger.

Widescreen gaming is also nice, it depends on what u use ** comp for really.

Only downside is this monitor doesn't do 4:3 scaling, but for me its not a prob as I still got a 4:3 monitor
