A bit of Googling shows that it's an XK140 Special, as seen at the below link. The same car in fact, you can make out the number plate in the crash photo.

I was there as well yesterday. Highlight of the afternoon was standing by the esses for the modern saloon cars. There were a few last minute dives, a bit of grass cutting, and generally a lot of hoonery.

Also, in wandering around the paddock and car parks, I came across:

A McLaren F1
A Ferrari Enzo
An Ultima GTR
A D Type Jag

The Z Cars rear bike engined mini

and a whole host of other cool cars. Only got phone pics, as I don't have a digicam
