Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon Live

Classic. We're only getting it now in Scotland.

GREAT IMAGE ....

Thatcher and Bush in a garden whilst singing "the lunatic is on the grass" :)
Now Rumsfeld and Nixon too ..... ouch !!!!

Takes me back to my school years. ( on it's first release :) )
This was an album that really changed lives and times :)

Wish You Were Here is better ;)

But the whole of that concert is on Pulse, their new live dvd. Incredible music AND stage setup/lighting. It's got to have been one of the best concerts ever...

Thanks for the heads up, this is the recording BBC did at Earls Court in 1994 during the Earls Court PULSE concerts, right?

Looks a lot like the commercial PULSE DVD, though, but it is Earls Court.

The DVD was long awaited, and it was a great show for real, was there in 1994 for one of those concerts, but the concert material that was originally filmed in London is showing its age, perhaps because it was only meant for a one off TV broadcast in the first place?

I owned the original PULSE VHS and it obviously lacked video and sound quality, the new DVD is stunning for sound, but the picture does not scale well to larger modern screens ... IMHO. I bought a new 50" HD TV recently, and this DVD was high on my want to watch list, unfortunately, the arena cam shots are very poor in quality on this size of screen, the stage shots are fine though, otherwise, its a great reminder of the show with brilliant sound and superb extras.

I'm so jealous you were actually there :(

Was it as life-changing as it looks?

Blimey, if you're jealous of 1994 just how jealous are you that I watched them in 74 doing the whole of DSOTM, some of the new album and Echoes as the encore?
I saw them several years later on the Animals tour and a couple of years later.
Was it life changing? - absolutely not.

I wouldn't say life changing, but it was a magical experience I'll never, ever forget, neither will the folk that went there with me.

I've loved Pink Floyd since I was 14 or 13, when WYWH was released, missed the chance to see the Wall concerts and couple of other Floyd tours afterwards, Gilmour was always my most favorite guitar player, had to go see them before I died, glad i did.

Life changing for some, perhaps? Certainly Floyd music will be in my blood a long time more.

I was at earls court in 1994 and was on that stand that collapsed with about a good few hudred ppl on it. Show was cancelled obviously. When the stand started to collapse I thought it was a special effect they'd rigged up! :)

Amazing concert,

I'm 22 and I can't believe Ive never watched them live before. Up until now I knew they existed and knew a few tracks but never have given them a proper listen.

Love the opening track, not to sure of what its called tho.

Opening track to DSOTM is Speak To Me / Breathe.

I missed this (got back from Tenacious D at about quarter past midnight) but if its from the PULSE DVD, it's awesome. Love the version of Money in it where they mess up in the middle, but bring it back with an awesome guitar solo :D

I missed this since not having a tv at uni :'(

PULSE is a good DVD, but Live in Pompei is just another level of coolness, if you like the older instrumental + experimental stuff such as Echoes and Saucerfull of Secrets you should really watch it.

Its the most relaxing thing ever. I really can't describe it with just words.

I'm going to see Roger Waters do Dark Side of the Moon live at the NEC next May. Got great tickets - middle front block, 2 rows from the stage - should be awesome!

Anyone else going?
