Hello All,

After a whole bunch of problems with a Parrott Rhythm and Blue, I returned it and got myself a Pioneer DEH-55BT. It's taking a little while to get used to the buttons but I have a bigger problem than that.

I can't get any contacts from my phone (Nokia 6230i) into the head unit!! I know I'm supposed to upload them one at a time but I can't even seen to do that either :(

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated

Select a contact and then look for an option like send as business card or similar. You should get an option such as send via sms or bluetooth. You then need to get your DEH-55BT to search for contacts. Once you've done that it should come up on the unit Contacts 0/200 or similar. Then hit send via bluetooth on your phone and bobs your uncle.

Sorry if the above is a little vague but I don't have that modle of phone but it should put you on the correct path :)

EDIT- doing them one at a time is a long old process. I only ever put on the 6 that I plan to use on the speed dial presets.

When I tried to send a contact, it asked me if I wanted to disconnect from the pioneer device first, selecting NO meant it wouldn't go any further.

I'll keep plugging away at it and post further news when I have some

Cheers for the help so far :)

You have put the HU into receive mode yes?

You can't be connected to it via headset connection if you are trying to send data to it.

As per paradigms post you can't be connected as a headset at the same time, you need to select YES and then it will connect to send the contact.

Yep, got it twigged, thanks for the help guys :) It has to be disconnected as a headset before being able to upload a contact. I got a bit confused about the disconnecting thing.

Sorry to hijack the thread.

I'm having problems receiving calls through the HU. It's not sending them through the speakers. It's just going through my phone. Yet making calls through the HU works fine.

Any ideas?

Phone: W810i

How are you answering the phone? Button on the phone or button on the HU?

If I answer using the green button on my phone, the audio comes through the phone, if I use the HU however its fine.

Same issue if you phone outbound using the HU's phonebook?

Yup. I got in the car, told my mum to ring me when I drove off. Drove off, she called, cd stopped, HU showed "Home", clicked the answer button on HU... and nothing. Was going through my phone.

What is the HU showing as on your phone? IIRC it needs to recognise it as a headset. That might be worth a quick check :)
A headset icon comes up in the top of the screen when connected.

Sounds right then. May still be worth going into your bluetooth settings to make sure its headset and not handsfree. Other than that I'm stumped I'm afraid :(

Ahh headset and handsfree. Im looking at all the settings in my phone and they all say handsfree. But tomorrow I will have a mess around and turn all handsfree off then.

Sorry I can't be more specific but I've never had a Sony Ericsson :o Thats what I'd be having a play with though.
