Hey Paradigm,
I tried to PM but seems to be disabled, hope you dont mind me creating a thread. I see you have the DEH-P75BT installed in your leon cupra. I was looking through one of the other posts and you say the mic level is really good and can pic up voices all over the car.... I installed the same unit in my TT a few weekends ago and find the quality of the mic really bad, all the people i have rang say they cant hear me etc. Are there any setting to increase the gain on the mic, also do you know how to turn the echo cancelling on / off. Left the manual my folks place and cant work out how to switch it on / off.

Thanks
Rico

Not sure if its 100% the same, as I have the P55BT, but:

To turn the echo cancelling off, go into the "telephone" source option, then hold down "func" until the system changes menu, scroll through the menu (using the "func" button), until you find "echo cancelling", this can be set to "on" or "off" by pushing the stick up/down.

As for clarity of the mic, where do you have it located, and what volume level do you have the "telephone" set to on the HU (I use around 35)?

Hey,
thanks for the reply. i do actually have the same model as you, copied the wrong product code. Does the volume setting on the telephone effect the level of mic then? I just turn up the volume until i can hear the other person loud enough. I have the mic located on my sun visor, i find that having the mic with the indent being covered by the clasp and the two little slots being exposed seems to be the loudest, however people still say its a bad line.... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards
Rico
