Gigabyte in their infinite wisdom, decided to think it was a good idea to fit this thing that blocks a much needed pcie slot.

Does anyone know of a workaround, still can't believe how stupid they are when they designed this

I need it for a future purchase of a dvb t2 card.

I know i can remove it, but heat might become a problem.

X58A UD7 i think

I might be able to move the 5970 down lower, heard that the gfx pcie slots are compatible?

I'll be after a blackgold card in the coming months, and they are the only dvb t2 card atm.

There is a nanostick but i don't like usb tuners, besides im after a dual tuner anyway.

Yup like i said stupid design, i'll be watching out for such problems next time.

Anyway i've heard an akasa aa12? chipset fan is the same size as the block, so it might fit so that's another option.

Anyway i'll put the thing on it's side sometime this week, and see what i can do about this.

Or failing that wait for a pci t2 card, but that could be a long way off.
