Who says groups of young white lads haven't been asked fro payment in advance.
People pull the racist card far to fast and often, it;'s a shame because it then makes you automatically thing it's not racism when it could be and doesn't help there cause at all.

I saw this one pic of a sign outside a mcdonalds that had banned blacks because they were rude/rowdy/did no pay. I think this was in the states.

Nearly every city has a poor area filled with blacks. You can blame the history of repression, i might agree with you. But that does not change the fact that black people based on their circumstances (more than their pigmentation) are more prone to crime.

I have been over racism in the speakers corner and had several longs posts about it.

Every city in the UK has a poor area filled with whites. Does this make it statistically likely that white teenagers are going to steal food from pizza Hut?
 
Pizza hut employees are in no position to profile people on whether they are likely to be criminals. There should be no judgement calls; it should be a blanket policy for all customers or not implemented at all.

I agree with that, however if you have a team leader (note: not a manager, who you would expect to have at least some level of training in this) on a power trip, or acting above his position without authority to do so, you could have this situation and it not be inherently racist...

Don't agree with that many private companies can and do profile. For example bars are allowed to refuse entry or not serve who ever they want. As long as it's not discrimination.

Also according to that link, police advised them to do this.

Whilst you are generally correct on the statistics, this doesn't give you an excuse to make generalisations in such policies. It's discriminatory and wrong.

Indeed, but if you were to profile on the basis of race, you would get into a lot of trouble.

Which is what is in point here.

That being said, I doubt it was intentional. It was probably just a very stupid mistake.

A days training doesn't give you the skills to profile potential criminals. It's a highly specialised skill that people on Pizzahut pay won't have.

Bars are different in the fact that it's perfectly obvious who is drunk/aggressive and shouldn't be allowed to enter.

I mean race is what is being brought up by the article. Further, my point is that we don't have enough facts to know either way, so it is all speculation.

Hence, the firmest thing I can say is that it was probably a mistake, but a pretty stupid one.

that may be so, but they don;t have to give a reason and they don't have to let you in, even if you aren't drunk or aggressive. Bars often refuse groups of young lads, even in the early stages of a night, with no such behaviour.
 
I was not specifically talking about the uk when i said every city, i was more talking about the usa and europe and other western countries. Sure there are poor areas filled with white people and there are many white criminals.

I have been asked to pay up front many times and never thought any thing of it. I have been asked to pay up front when i was in my teens when no one else was because my friends and I, looked very dodgy, half of them had dreadlocks etc.

I realy do not see a big deal with asking people to pay up front, if you are going to pay it makes no difference if it is before or after.
