Making my own pizza tonight , just a quick question going to try and replicate the BBQ sauce that dominio's do.

Would I be ok using HP BBQ sauce mixed in with tomato puree or do you think it would turn out rank!

Anyone had any experience using it on pizza?

I'd think that BBQ sauce would be far too strong to spread all over a pizza, might be wrong though. I've always found BBQ sauces on pizza's tend to be thinner and runnier.

I put HP BBQ sauce all over a chicken sandwhich last week, it was disgusting :( Yet its gorgeous when you just dip something in it.

Make your own BBQ Sauce but make it weaker than you would normally make it. Should be grand.

as drz says make it yourself. Look for bbq recipe, it's basically:

Onion
Garlic
chilli
dark brown sugar
soy sauce
tomato ketchup

Even better do a hoisin sauce, duck, spring onions and mozzarella pizza. Best pizza known to man. Roast the duck, allow to cool then deep fry. Makes crispy duck yummi.

Add a little Jack Daniel's Tennessee BBQ sauce to it (also, the aforementioned stuff is most awesome in burgers/hotdogs). Win

I've used HP Barbecue sauce as a pizza sauce many times before and it tastes fine, just spread it over the base with a knife and don't put too much on.

i don't like tomato so i always ask at pizza hut or domino's when ever i go (quite rare now i'm a student again) but yes. BBQ sauce as a replacement is ACE!!

i put the "Jack Daniels - Rich Honey" sauce on top of pizza :)
