Got to have a couple of hotdogs from the vendors on every corner

We only went out for a big meal about twice while we were there, can't remember the names but the food was delicious.

Ray's Pizza at 27 Prince Street on the northern edge of Little Italy is amazing.

Also very near there is Cafe Habana which does the best corn on the cob I have ever eaten in my life!

Don't go to Jean Georges, it was rubbish ( Michelin 3* rubbish at that )

this place was nice and I am not even a big fan of Italian food

I keep getting amused by people suggesting restaurants which are actually chains and scattered all over the city.

Anywhere remotely near Times Square is just a tourist trap, you'll pay inflated prices and most New Yorkers avoid the area.

Also, Grimaldi's is great if you want some traditional NY style pizza (it's not the archetypal, floppy-crusted kind of pizza that you first think of when you think 'NY pizza').

I have been and cold is not the word...pretty much ruined my trip

(Sorry if its putting you off but maybe i expected too much from christmas in NY eg fresh white snow over central park and glistening lights etc everywhere).
