Places to eat in Shepherd's Bush area - any suggestions?

Morning fellers. Heading down to the Shepherd's Bush empire today for a gig. Wanting to eat somewhere within striking distance of the venue and wondered if anyone had a favourite restaurant around there? Would prefer Italian or Indian cuisine. Figured asking on the off-chance would be preferable to wandering into somewhere randomly!

There's a fantastic Lebanese restaurant in the Bush, but I can't remember the name. The only thing that I can remember is that it's on a corner and it has a big wooden front door. I think that if you come out of the gig and turn right and then follow the road around to the right, it's along there.

Cheers for replying. Lebanese is a bit exotic for my tastes! Doesn't have to be limited to Italian or Indian, though. A steakhouse or burger bar would do also. Anything plentiful and good quality, really!

Don't know Sheperd's Bush that well but is the Westfield shopping centre anywhere near the Empire? Plenty of chain restaurants in there I'd imagine

Go over the road to Westfield. Go up to the restaurant bit (i think they call it the terrace?) and check out Wahaca. It's the best mexican restaurant in London (probably the UK to be honest). Well, this is the second one, the original in Covent Garden is more nicely laid out but still. The food is a world apart from any other tex-mex. If you vaguely like mexican food it'll be well worth giving it a go.

Failing that there's a GBK there for awesome burgers, or the Meat & Wine Co. for steak and other meat.

Another vote for Westfield here. Been through there loads of times and there's loads of nice looking places. You've got a strip of places outside and then there is another load of places on the upper floor just above the big open area in the middle. I got some Chinese food in the upstairs area and I really enjoyed it.

Mind you it's going to be jam packed on a Saturday so hopefully the queues and lack of seats won't put you off!

What they said, Westfield has a good choice of restaurants only a couple of mins walk from the Empire. The Defectors Weld pub also does pretty decent food and is a stones throw from the venue.

Ironic - the Lowiczanka is a great restaurant (love Polish food) but it is not at all close to the Empire

I havent actually. I stumbled across it, did some looking online and it had a fair few bad reviews. Kinda put me off. I should probably try it sometime, though.

think I'll give that Mexican a try but just drove past Westfield, it looks huge! Will have a gander in there too.

Used to live round the corner from it and it was very good. Can't vouch for it in the past year or so though.
