Plant seed macro/abstract

Absolutely tiny plant seeds with parachutes, each no more than 1mm across. Thought I'd share.

Really nice, are you able to get the actual seed in focus? Imo, I think that would improve the shot by giving the eye something to settle on.

Yeah I could if I'd taken the time to setup the shots indoors... these were taken pretty quickly whilst I was wandering around, damn my impatience! Hitting the focus handheld with the setup i was using was nigh on impossible.

So what's your set-up?

Nikon 70-300 with Raynox 202 and Sigma ringflash. Gives fantastic magnification but hand-holding at the long end (these were shot at 220mm) is seriously tricky - DoF was down to about a millimeter, even at f/32.
