Play Store (updates) and other Sync issues

Is it just me..

Play store does not automatically download updates
Google Photos does not upload/sync automatically


even though settings are set correctly

Samsung Galaxy A70
never worked on my old Mi 4 either

anyone else have this problem that apps are not being updated automatically ?
