Plus Eye of Judgement bundle due late October

Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation Eye will be out in Europe on November 7.

It will cost GBP 24.99 and come bundled with a free copy of editing suite EyeCreate, which lets users take pictures, video, and audio clips before saving them to the PlayStation 3 hard drive.

The new hardware also comes as part of The Eye of Judgement retail package, which will be out October 26. Sony has promised that consumers who buy the bundle will be able to claim a free copy of EyeCreate from the PlayStation Store.

October also sees the release of Eye compatible games Operation Create Feature, Aqua Vita and The Trials of Topoq.

The PlayStation Eye has four-times the resolution, twice the frame-rate and double the sensitivity of the EyeToy on PS2, as well as a powerful microphone that can focus on different audio inputs.

Still not sure if i will get EoJ or just the Eye but at least we know how much it is and when its out now.

Can't complain with an rrp of £24.99 nice to see it is around the same price as the 360 one. Although the 360 one has the benefit of working on PCs as well (which I have not heard anything about for the Sony one).

Will prob pick this one up, unless an imported USA one works out cheaper.

I guess as its just a USB camera it wouldnt be to hard to make it work for the PC, i guess the mic pickup may not work properly without some custom software. The camera Res is 640x480 at 60fps and 320x240 @120 fps, so even on max res it should be nice and smooth (smoother than most EA PS3 games lol), I still keep pondering over EoJ though , i like what there doing to stop online cheating and tat was my biggest concern about this game.

Apparently someone tried the Camera on the PC and it showed up as a device but obviously it needed drivers which don't exist.

On the subject of EoJ, I will probably get it if some folks off here get it, gives me someone to play against :p

I would have thought it could be done, i use my Eyetoy as a camera and mic on my pc using 3rd party drivers and it works fine.
