I don't see how Fifa is limited?

Motorstorm will always be much better than a racing game with touch screen controls..

Everybodys Golf is far from graphically poor.

Have you played these games or just judging them from reviews and screenshots?

For one you have obviously not played Rayman Origins as its far from a basic platformer in any sense of the word and anyone who has played the game or read the reviews would know this.

Secondly Uncharted, Wipeout and Modnation show what the vita is capable of in its first iteration of games. Once developers get to grips with the hardware just like any other console games will get better in every way especiallt graphically and considering the Ipad or iphone could never reach this level of graphical fidelity in vitas first game phase lets just say the vita has nothing to worry about.

The ipad/iphones best looking game is infinity blade 2 and that's only really a moe forward fight, moe forward fight game. It has no freedom and isn't een that origional. For a phone great but no threat in anyway to a handheld console.

Phones are great for small instant games like Angry birds, cut the rope and water which graphically and tchnically are no threat to the vita. And to be fair these kinds of games will also be coming to vita so no threat there either lol
 
iTards suck, the pubs full of em on a Saturday night trying to ask their phones random questions trying to impress the birds only to find it doesn't work when there's any background noise, so then they bang on about video chat as if other phones haven't been doing it for years.

Well i'm hoping that we're going to get some proper games on it going forward!

I cannot stress how much Sony need to push the full console experience of the Vita. I don't want crap like Motorstorm "RC" - where's the proper motorstorm gone?!

I hate to keep saying it but reckless racing 2 is a great example of how iOS can do games that look as good as what the Vita has so far produced and that do not suffer greatly from being touchscreen controlled.

Fifa lacks many features from Fifa 12. It's effectively Fifa 11 - an old game.

Reckless racing 2 / Death Rally - both iOS games that are better than Motorstorm and control perfectly fine on touchsreen. In fact, i'd say Motorstorm has AWFUL controls using the default left stick steer, right accelerate.

The problem with RC is that it's basically one of these new style bite-size games... that's not what the Vita is supposed to be about!

LOL MC controls can be changed, have you even played it?
 
So... from that list posted there's some pretty good launch titles.

The screen is good, don't know why you're moaning about that.

What were you expecting?

The main legitimate gripes that I can see are to do with the memory cards ie. cost and performance. Some of the performance issues might be firmware/software related though for all we know, and I'm sure the cost of the cards will come down.

At the end of the day if you're not happy with it though just sell or return it.
 
Yes, they aren't much cop even when changed - quite sluggish steering.

Considering they default to both sticks to replicate proper RC controls though... that's probably how it's intended to be played.

The vita is supposed to be about being apart of your life (vita=life) be that a full on gaming session with top quality games such as Uncharted, bite size gaming ala RC or watching movies, tv, listening to music, browsing the web, interacting with friends, increased connectivity between devices bridging the gap of interactivity at home etc etc etc

Its not just about big blockbuster games BUT it has and will have wave after wave of big blockbuster games

Angry Birds is a blockbuster for a phone app. Its not exactly triple AAA in quality and to break your arguement about quality on platforms it doesnt exactly push the boundaries of what a phone from 4 years ago was capable of never mind the iphone

Does anyone know of decent bundles going on for the Vita?

The only one I know of is the rainforest doing the "PlayStation Vita: 8GB Memory Card For £20 and Selected Game For £15" deal.

I've checked Game and GameStation, but they're absolute rippoff merchants.

Seems like it. I had a shot of the Vita off some Sony sales rep guy and was having a blast on Wipeout.

One thing he mentioned though which left me confused is that the app "Near" apparently has a range of 40km, on both Wi-Fi and 3G models.

I'm fairly savvy about my wireless technologies, and I highly doubt Sony has anything that powerful. Unless he was mistaken and he was referring to the 3G model using cell tower triangulation?
