XBLA shmup Sine Mora will be coming to the Vita soon.

Co-developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and Digital Reality, Sine Mora is a dieselpunk shoot ‘em up that provides a unique take on the genre, where time is the ultimate factor. Mixing classic shooter sensibilities with next-gen presentation, Sine Mora defines itself as a gorgeous shmup that appeals to both hardcore and casual gamers alike. Found on Xbox Live Arcade and coming soon to PlayStation®Vita, Sine Mora features over 60 combinations of planes, characters and time manipulation devices to complete every beautifully-crafted stage with scaling difficulty. All of this is set to an epic score of soaring heights composed by Akira Yamaoka (acclaimed for his works on Shadows of the Damned and the Silent Hill series) and with set pieces from boss battles designed by the legendary anime director Mahiro Maeda (Final Fantasy: Unlimited, The Animatrix segment “The Second Renaissance Parts I and II”, and the animation sequence in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill Vol. 1).

with the hardware and graphic capabilities of the vita am i the only one who would have thought PS2 compatibility would be possible? especially now they are releasing them on PSN

The PS3 is more powerful than the Vita and has only JUST got some games available for full software emulation. The only way you are getting PS2 games on the Vita is if they are remasterd like MGS. Emulation is very cycle heavy.

Anyway some vids and stuff

Playstation Allstars confirmed for PS Vita, runs at 60fps same as the PS3 version. You'll be able to play across platforms as well.

Assassins Creed 3: Liberation will be out on the Vita the same day as AC3 on the PS3. Female protagonist. Also the game will be out in the US in a bundle with the White Vita. No word yet on the UK but with Gamescom coming up in August we could find out there. Also Kotaku posted some impressions of the game, I've put them in the spoiler.

http://kotaku.com/5916040/assasins-...make-combat-easier-yet-harder-its-complicated

In broad strokes, the game plays similarly to other Assassin's Creed games. As I watched, the protagonist, a Creole woman named Aveline, crept along a rooftop above some Spanish guards—in the game's setting of New Orleans, the Spanish and French are fighting, and the Spanish are the Templar bad guys. In true Assassin's Creed fashion, Aveline took a couple of them down in one flying leap.

What happened next was a surprise, though. The action paused, the color faded, and icons lit up over the remaining soldiers. My demonstrator then tagged the soldiers using the Vita's touch screen, and Aveline automatically wiped them out, one at a time.

This power, called a "chain kill," isn't some one-time-only superpower; it's something players can do whenever they want, and is designed to let players who don't want to deal with long swordfights bypass them.

Of course, it's optional, so if you want a more challenging experience, you can forgo the chain kills. Interestingly enough, the chain kills seem to have been added because the core combat has (actually!) been made more difficult. Ubisoft giveth, and Ubisoft taketh away.

The added difficulty comes because there's no longer a perpetual block button—players can't just hold down the button and then mash the "counter" button to do an instakill. Instead, you have to feint and draw opponents out, then perform counters while remaining vulnerable to attack. I didn't have a chance to play the game, but as I watched my demonstrator get his ass kicked by some spanish guards, it became clear that he was unable to do the old Assassin's Creed block-parry two-step.

A few other things I noticed about the game:
  • Liberation has a dedicated jump button, the X button. The right trigger runs, but doesn't automatically jump at ledges—instead, you have to press X to jump. That's a big change from a series that typically hasn't had a real jump button.
  • I watched a sequence similar to more recent console games' horse and buggy chase sequences; the demonstrator tapped the touch screen to increase the horses' speed and held his finger down to make them slow down. I'm unsold on how fun this would be, but then, I didn't like those sequences in the console games either.
  • The game will have an economy like in the console games, though it will be different and "exclusive to the Vita," whatever that means.
  • We have confirmation on the alligators in the bayou sections. There will be alligators. Alligators!
  • The top devs did the requisite fact-finding trip to New Orleans, and a lot of the city's famous buildings are looking mighty nice.
  • Aveline's animations are totally new, and use the same animation tools as Assassin's Creed III; Aveline has a lot of Connor's moves, including pulling up an enemy as a human shield when faced with gunmen.
  • Aveline has a machete, which I didn't see used, and a blow-gun, which I did. While she was in one of the series' ubiquitous haystacks, she fired off a dart that poisoned one guard, luring another over to his location for a good neck-stabbing.
  • The characters in the game are all based on real historical figures, with the exception of Aveline herself; she's an amalgamation. If a character in the game dies, they died in real life at the same time.

Soul Sacrifice was already confirmed for a western release but we have an E3 trailer anyway

PS1 support is coming this summer, Sony Japan put up a video. PS1 games were running on Vitas on the E3 show floor for people to play. A couple of photos from the show floor are in the spoiler to save space.

Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified was announced as the title for the Vita game, no trailer or anything else though

Persona 4: The Golden also got a trailer. The game is due out in a few weeks in Japan and the release in the West should be in the Autumn

A full E3 sizzle reel as well.

Also just bought Mutant Blobs attack. Will be getting Gravity Rush on the 15th as well, might indulge in MGS on the 29th too. Never played 3, played 2 once and never played Metal Gear 1 & 2 (also in the set) or any of the AR missions(also in the set).

Traded in Unit 13 today, think I'll save my credit for Gravity Rush once thats released, have just purchased Resistance and Wipeout from eBay, not sure if the online pass will be intact for either though.

IIRC Wipeout doesn't have an online pass so you will be fine there.

Got resistance from lovefilm... What a bag of ****.

It is known.

So who is picking Gravity Rush up?

Good work, Andy.
Do you have any idea if certain third party titles (Rayman Origins!) will get a price reduction in the future weeks? Not had a reason to buy more Vita titles off the store because I’m a bit preoccupied with Motorstorm and WipEout, but thanks to this reduction I’ll get the fantastic Hustle Kings.

All I will say is… wait until next week.
I think your wishes will be coming true

New firmware is out now. Optional and just improves stability. 97mb

In the coming months, you can look forward to new game reveals and other news for Vita; in the meantime, we wanted to let you know that a minor system software update will be released tonight that improves software stability. The update (v. 1.69) is completely optional, but we did want to give everyone a heads up that it was coming.

I've heard plenty of good things about MGS ry so let us know what you think. Apparently MGS 2 switches between 30 and 60fps depending on the scene but it's pretty stable, MGS3 is locked at 30 apparently.

I'll never play them on the PS3 but I just might on the Vita so I'm tempted to buy at the end of the month. MGS3 can be platinumed in one playthrough apparently, MGS2 needs a minimum of 5 though!

Also don't forget that the MGS collection has Metal Gear 1 and 2 in it as well. So you have even more to play!

Apparently the digital download is about 3.8GB if anyone is interested.

In far more important news however, my Gravity Rush has not arrived :( Posite just came :(.

Everybody's Golf is currently £7.99 on PSN and £7.19 for PS+ members.

That's a really good price. It's only that low for this weekend though.

It seems they are able to offer better discounts earlier in Vita games life than on the PS3. Hopefully that continues with other games! Anyone wanting a DD version of Rayman BTW might want to wait until Wednesday... Apparently it could be in their offers bit.

oooh i fancied that game but i dont think i got much room left on my mem card. That mutant blob game is great for the money

can you play multi player on that golf game?

I do believe it has a lot of online play.

No interested in an eBook function myself, be I imagine it's on the roadmap as the more every device can do the more bullet points it has on the box.

Gravity Rush arrived today, was out all day buying a car and now I'm at work so that screwed that up!

Some may know that the GOW HD collection and the Ico HD collection on PS3 are getting remote play enabled via a patch soon. I asked if this would be standard resolution remote play or if it would be higher resolution to support the Vita and got a pleasant surprise.

If you want to download it from the US store you need a US account and you'll nee to buy PSN credit for that account as I don't think it will take EU credit cards. You'll only be able to play it if you remain logged in on that account.

I think I'd just wait the 12 days.

Wipeout 2048 is looking to get a big update soon, they just posted

Anyone hear that? There is something around that corner. Something BIG...

on facebook and then this image popped up in the comments. No idea if the image is legit but we do know that HD and Fury DLC is coming to 2048 and if you already own HD+Fury digitally you'll get it free for 2048.

yH8tM.jpg

I'm enjoying it, only about 90 minutes in so far though. One thing I've gathered from others online is that if you want to beat all of the challenges with gold times it's best to just wait until Kat is upgraded rather than trying as you go through the game.

As for MGS. Play.com is listing it as £30.00 RRP so I imagine it might be £25-27 on the PSN but we really don't know until it gets there :(

Tomorrow anyone who has Wipeout 2048 will be able to buy the HD and Fury DLC. If you already own HD+Fury digitally on the PS3 then you can get this DLC for free. Also if you buy the DLC for the Vita then you can download the full HD+Fury for the PS3 for no extra cost.
