please dont judge- does a shoplifting fine show up on a crb check.

Worst i used to....

Joking, not sure of the answer but just thought I would post to say well done for sorting yourself out.

i really wish mods would start banning/shooting/abusing people for this, it wasnt funny when it started and its still not funny after all this time

useful post all that op requested thank god someone is still sensible here

Too many commas and not enough full stops.

Anyway glad you got fined so at least you wont do it again. You don't have to buy presents you could have always made one or done something for him.

as gman said, seriously dont be such a douche, if you cant answer the guys question dont stand all high and mighty and try and put the lad down, you just end up looking like a complete muppet

I wrote it very hastily as i was keen for an answer, i apologise.

That doesn't matter, just wondering why you had to give him something which is bought in the shops when you could make/do something for him which always means so much more.

Wish the other members wouldn't say this is cruel because it's an honest opinion. He mentioned about needing to buy something for his dad, if he didn't and just asked will shop lifting come up on a record I would have nothing to comment on.

So you never got arrested? Then you probably didn't get cautioned.

When being cautioned you usually sign an agreement down the station from the Sergeant(?) Well that's how I remember it some years ago.

I wouldn't, he's just having a toss off as he's finally been able to correct someone. Your post was easily understood.

Looking back though, its is full of commas :$

I suppose i should have at least come across as educated as i am :p i deserve it.

Also thank you everyone for your input as well as your understanding, it was a silly mistake i will regret forever.

Again it was an incredibly silly mistake, which was powered by impulse. The item in question was a cologne, he had always gone on about how he'd wanted it but knew he couldn't afford it. I felt bad for not being able to buy it him, so when i saw it, impulse took over, i saw an opportunity to bring him some happiness, i didn't think of the consequences.

You don't have to explain yourself to him mate. Not everyone has a perfect little life like Yateszy does.

Ok; don't post if it's simply to inflate your own ego by correcting someone's grammar and putting across what you see as your superior moral reasoning. There's a little contribution just for you Yateszy.

You've contributed nothing to this thread. You've just come across as a bit of a tit.

Insulting your original post and motivation behind it isn't trolling by the way. Just in case you need a little clarification.

Far from it, but I like to offer suggestions when I can, in this case out of curiosity of why he had to take the item. He answered and is a perfectly reasonable reason for doing so. Fair play to the OP.

Also in a lot of threads members are commenting on others spelling and punctuation mistakes, he may not have realized the mistakes so I was just trying to help. I might make mistakes so feel free to correct me, just don't call me childish names.

anything to do with CRB checks and criminal records....there's a charity helpline. The Apex Trust Helpline: 0870 608 4567

They will also give you advice about cover letters and interviews (how best to disclose any convictions etc). They seem quite lazy so give them a call after 11.00am and keep trying. You can't leave a message as they are a charity and won't call you back.

Let's take stock of what you actually said. First you criticised the grammar. Then you said you were glad he got a fine. Then took the moral high horse and said at least he won't do it again. In no way were there suggestions or constructive feedback.

So in summation your original post was actually pretty rude, not actually that helpful, and judging from the reactions the general consensus is that it makes you look a bit of a tit.

A guy posts a thread showing open holding hands up honesty. Written perfectly legible, yet gets picked apart by some smartass. I love this forum but there are some members who shouldn't be allowed here.

Hope the incident doesn't effect your prospects. The situation with your father would make most people act differently.

Yes an enhanced one will show everything. But enhanced crb's are mainly for anyone working with children, childcare practioners, teachers etc.

so your saying i wouldnt, the app form dosent look extensive, its just asking my name etc, whether i am isa registered or some confusing stuff, my addresses etc and do i have criminal convictions.
