Hey all,

Built another new PC however this one isnt going as easy as the last.

The spec:

NZXT Hades
AMD Phenom 2 x6 1090T Black Edition (using stock cooler atm)
Gigabyte 790fxt a-ud5
Gigabyte ATI 6870
Kingston SSD 64GB SSDNow V-Series SATA2 2.5
G-Skill 4GB Ripjaws DDR3 Memory PC3-10666 1333MHz 1.5V Cas9 1x 4GB with heatspreader
OCZ Stealth Stream 2 600W

Issue I've got it that the computer hangs on the bios screen. If fast enough, can press tab for example and see the post screen but that goes off quickly to the flashing cursor screen. It then freezes there.

Feel like I've tried everything to get it going.

Silly question but if the SSD came from a previous computer, would that have an effect on loading this new one for the first time?

Cheers for your help guys

ok tried that but to no avail. It seems from treking the net, this motherboard supported the 6 core AFTER production. This being said, how do i get the bios updated with this problem in mind?

Pressing F12 to boot from disc seems to just make the comp go into a loop of restarting. Maybe this is because it thinks the processor isnt supported.

Cheers all

cant seem to get to the screen thats needed. if the main screen hasnt frozen, pressing F12 to get to Q-flash seems only to restart the computer.

I cleared the cmos however this didnt do anything useful (unless you guys suggest something i missed) when i did this, it came onto a screen asking to either load a default profile or last known good. Thing is, there has never been a last known good.

Either way, it still goes back to being the same issues.

sadly it simply wouldnt.

Oh well, took the gigabyte back and swapped it for a crossfire Asus IV Formula and touch wood, its working!

Cheers for your help all. Guess some things cannot be fixed :/
