Going to buy the antec 300 case but need 2 decent 120mm fans for the intake.

So far have been recommended these, these and these (the apache's being the top of my price range).

Cooling ability is the priority however noise is still a factor :D

Would really appreciate any comments/suggestions

Heh. I'm doing exactly the same and was sent a link to a comparison table which has everything you need. The bad news - it's on AN Other website that I cannot post.
What's your budget per fan ?

Ooops - rereading on your budget of £14. I'd go with the Akasa or a Scythe . The Scythe Kaze Maru 1200 is 61cfm and 27db, the RedWing 45cfm and 21db and the Akasa 57cfm and 16db.
If you get extra cash...I'm looking at the Noctua P12. 54cfm and 19db.

Thanks Phage!

I've hunted online, read a few reviews and have ordered the 2 Akasa Apaches... will think of them as an investment lol!

Not sure whether to use them both at the front or replace the rear exhaust with one and have the 120mm tricool at the front with the other apache.

If anyone's tried this i'd be keen to know if it works??

Is positive pressure so important ? Other than to keep the dust out ? I thought that pure throughput would be the key to cooling.

its best to have all the fan pushing the air into the case, when the fans are pushing the air in it makes use of the exhaust vents on the edges/sides of the case more useful.

interesting because i heard the opposite... stating that there should be negative pressure inside to draw the cooler air in...

I suppose the best thing to do would be to test both ways :)
