It's been a good year for me so far, so I wanted to buy my dad a gift in the form of a new TV
Initially I was looking at the Samsung LE40C530, which is around £450, but then I saw the LG 42PJ350 for close to £100 less and 2 extra inches (42 instead of the Samsung's 40).
The main 2 uses would be as follows:
To play Halo Reach
To watch downloaded TV shows (directly via a plug-in USB stick if possible)
Very little, if any, normal TV programming will be watched. And whatever model is chosen, it needs to be something that would work out the box with no additional configuration.
