Hi.

I've scrimped and scraped for over a year, and now i can finally afford to upgrade. My rig is rather dated now. Socket 939 2.4ghz x2 3800 Ati X850Agp etc...Monitor is only samsung Syncmaster 193V. 19" windows XP home

anyway. Here's an idea of what i would like and need it for:

Make my video authoring programs scream, Power Director 5, Ulead 8.
Run latest games.
Monitor preferably a dell 24" or 27" widescreen.
3x 500Gb Hd drives.
Already have two Pioneer dvd writers. 111d and 112d, so dont need optical drives.
As much Ram as possible.

Windows Vista needed

keyboard & mouse, maybe, I already have old Altec sub and speaker system.

This is going to be needed for Feb onwards, So if there's some hardware that will be coming out then that will supercede it now, I need to know that also.

Thanks, If anyone can help. And spend my hard earned wonga, lol

awesome, Thanks....

I was getting a migraine trying to work out Mobo & cpu combo..lol

Feb only 2 weeks away. So I need a good idea now anyway!. That monitor looks good, Everyone seems to go for dell, But that's likely to mess up my most important upgrades for my budget!.

I'm going to add these to my basket then have a fiddle around.

P.s the graphics card note says this. "This card is 275mm in length so make sure it fits in your case!"

So is that case going to be ok ?.

Just bought the monitor and I have to say its amazing for the price. Its fugly case :-) but the image is great. As its half the price I am going to buy a second one and have them both on arms in a dual display - perfect!

im not entirely sure on the size of the case and if everything will fit, personally i would have gotten a corsair HX520W PSU and a seperate case, which in my choice would be a lian li v2000 to put the Pc in. this gives a very good PSU and a very large case, however your budget did not allow this.
