...Vauxhall Nova's, specifically the 3door hatch 1.2. Im looking into getting one as a first car, ive heard there really nippy, really cheap, and really cheap to fix and modify.

What should i look out for on them, what is there i need to know about them?

Is this some sort of a joke?

No, no joke, my boss was telling me about how he owned a 1.2 and modded it with stainless pipe and the likes, he said it was one of the best cars he owned.

Obvious troll is obvious.

Unfortunatly your mistaken, i am trying to find genuine advice on Nova's. A little abscre for around here, yes, but im not trolling.

Ermmmm not a nova fella!

That when you crash one.. there is a strong chance you might die.

Ask Phil_W he posted up a picture once of a friends that had a major crash, the thing looked like a squashed coke can. His friend was lucky to survive it IIRC..

My brother had a Vauxhall Nova as his first car back in 2002. At the time it was 12 years old (he had an older model), now it'll be 16 years old and that's relative to the last model made.

He had a 1.2 Diamond. It was a slow sluggish car and the choke hardly worked! The interior was crap and it just wasn't a pleasent place to be in. Summer time was awful, it used to smell and was hot with no air con. It was easy for people to break into - just bend the door back and pull the pins up. It was terrible to drive and yeah, just bad!

However, saying all those things, the car cost him £150, economy was adequate, it just kept on going and did the job for a year.

Im serious, i like the rugged retro looks of the Nova, also like the sleek design of the old Suzuki Swift GTi, but alas, i cannot afford the GTi. My budget has dropped from £1000 back to £500-600 due to purchasing a PC.
