Over there...
I'd like to plug sky into my PC monitor (no PC attached). The easiest way to get the sky feed is to use the Sky eye RF lead, so all thats left is to figure out how to get the RF signal converted to VGA (monitor input).

Is there anything out there? Like a converter box etc?

TIA

EDIT: Another option is to use a HDMI splitter (from Sky HD to TV & monitor) but the monitor i have kicking around only does VGA??

Using RF on a PC monitor is going to look horrific, if it's even possible.

By the time you've bought something to convert from RF to VGA (or from composite or s-video for that matter) you may as well have just bought a new monitor with HDMI/DVI for much better results.

well, the source isnt going to be amazing, granted. But i have just built a gym in the conservatory, and i have an old 19" LCD monitor kicking around situated a wall away from a Sky box - seems like whilst it wouldnt be perfect it might be a goer...

Have investigated some more, and could do one of two things thus far:

1) buy a HDMI splitter, split the SkyHD signal and send one side to the monitor (swap with a mates for a DVI monitor) and plug the HDMI feed into the DVI port. That SHOULD be in HD, but wont be able to change the channel. Should work though, right?

2) buy a sky eye (£12) and plug it into something like this:
http://www.gadmei.com/en/product_show.aspx?id=5 for £23. This should in theory work (upscales to 1280x1024), and would cost me about £35 - worth a punt i reckon :D

you both make a similar point, and i should have probably added that it isnt so important - i'll most likely just turn up the main hifi/5.1 which the sky is conncted to for audio - the rooms are adjoining. The benefit is HD, the loss is not being able to change channel. The option 2 i can change channel, but god knows what the pic quality will be like!
