old setup - washing machine connected into a trap with a single inlet for waste, worked perfactly.

new setup - i changed the trap under the sink to one which has two inlets for waste, connected the washing machine and dishwasher waste pipes to these, using hose clips to secure them.

now when the washing machine is turned on, there is a pool of water left inside after the cycle is finished, when dishwasher is used the water jsut builds up and up, eventually i have to turn it off as it would come pouring out the door when opened.

i will try get picture up soon, need to find my damn camera first!

The ends come open , but he will have to remove the blanking rubber inside the nozzle :o

oh my,

inside the inlets there is a white plastic disk and a black rubber, both of which look like they come open when the waste passes throught them? im assuming im meant to remove the black rubber?

edit: actually looks like im meant to remove the white disk instead?
