Nice pics, they are stunning, very clear and sharp. I'm really liking the end result from that thread.

Edit: what lens is that?
 
I really like 2, not too keen on the effect on 3 tho.

You could try and cheat with picture 1. Photoshop the flags out, and darken the sky a little.
 
Lens was the kit 18-55mm. :)

And as for photo one I think the most off putting thing is the scaffolding in the background. I haven't tried cloning that out yet as I think it will be very difficult to make it look good. As for the sky I did darken it a little bit but it's not even, I just had a thought maybe use the shadow tool to even it out a bit then darken it. :confused:

And lastly on the photo it's still not central (in comparison to the path), it's just so darn difficult getting it all to work in one photo! :p

Nice, proves that the kit lens isn't as bad as people make it out to be, you just need to be able to use it properly.
