point of view AGP 8x 6800 gt

Hello folks im new to the forum, and new to the world of overclocking etc

I brought said card about 2 years ago when they first came out and procceded to fiddle with the clock speeds. Then i decided to fit an artic cooler ( big mistake learnt the hard way after peole telling me dont do it ) Basically i fried the 1 of the memory chips because the cooler was not touching that chip due to poor manufacturing.

I was just wondering if it is possible to get these cards repaired, i was thinking try and get hold of another broken card and swap chips if salvagable, what do you think

Could try the manufacturer but you will pay for it if it can be done.

The ram shouldnt have fried in all fairness, the gpu ram doesnt even get that hot.
Since its been 2 years now I doubt you could rma it, but when you first did it you should have put the old heatsink back on and rma'ed it.
