:D

Most of those look common where are all the shines?

I nearly have a full set of original Pokemon cards in a folder like this No hotlinking please. Thanks. VS. I'm tempted to complete it now it could be worth a pretty penny one day. Back in the day people would sell you a shiny charizard for around £5-10 and that was in 2000.

[edit] Just checked ebay they're still going for the same price lol

i got a chimchar from a nintendo tent at the sunderland airshow a few years ago and they are selling for 99p on ebay! profit lol

I have a fullset from burger king when the first film came out, they are still on the a4 sheets they came in before they were put into the kids meals would these be worth anything yet??

I remember standing watching a horde of kids at the 'Square Circle' in Swindon Brunell back in the day, when the guy behind the counter opened a pack and started selling the cards individually... One card was a 'Shiny' one and I saw a kid, couldn't be older than 10 or 12 years old, get a roll of £20's out of his pocket and part with at least 10 of em for the card!!..

I was a little shocked and disgusted that 1, a kid had at least £500 on him for this crap!. and 2, a credit card sized bit of cardboard went for £200+

I wanted to wait till the little urchin was on his own and kick the bejebus out of him and nick the card to sell on ebay.. but he'd probly kick my arse instead!! :D

Collectible Card Games are awkward to value as their prices can fluctuate so much.

I collect/play/trade/sell Magic The Gathering Cards and had a collection worth over £10000 a few months ago. Wizards of the Coast made an announcement about a change to one of the formats and I lost £2000 in value overnight.

Sadly I know very little of Pokemon but I don't think they fetch the same price as MTG generally. Your best bet is to bang the names into ebay. Looking at what you have, I don't see much of value from what I remember, although this is going back 5-6 years now.

Better "investment" would be buy an album in Vinyl, especially singles!

I bought a couple of Oasis Singles years ago, Roll with It, Whatever, Beetlebum (blur), for about £3 each or something, they are now worth between £30 to £50 each according to Marketplace on Amazon.

Classical music is especially good for this. My Dad collects classical CDs but almost entirely buys from charity shops. Pretty much every CD he buys from a CS costs him £1-2. He checks on ebay when he gets home and could triple his money immediately if he wanted to. He recently bought a CD for 50p and found it being sold for £120 on ebay.

I have entire box of the uncommon/common/rare cards with a little booklet of shinies from when i was younger. It's a shame they aren't worth much now :(.

No point selling them tbh, as most of them go for peanuts. £1-2 at most. You'd be better off keeping them stashed away in the attic to see if they ever go up in value in the mid-distant future.
