People were complaining in a recent thread about knife crime that they weren't releasing the description of somebody due to race??

Because in a country where black people are a minority it aids in identification and arrest of a suspect when they're black as straight away it removes a majority of people from the suspect pool.

Saying it was a white guy removes a minority and therefore is significantly less useful.

Akin to why you'd say a suspect would have one arm or pink hair. Yet wouldn't say they had 2 arms or no tattoos.

They were out of order harrasing an MP like that. I’d expect the police to escort her and/or get people like that to disperse if harrasing/following her while shouting abuse.

I’m not sure whether they can or would want to arrest them? For example there are rather more controversial figures out there who attract this sort of thing - for example Tommy Robinson often gets shouts of Nazi and facist etc... if the police are to arrest others for shouting those words at people then they’d have a bit of work to do whenever he popped out in public.

'How can I frame this story about a fascist thug in a way that supports the unbelievably whiny far-right agenda?'

Why are "right wing extremists" calling her a Nazi?

Nazis are left wing scum.

You need to go Franco or Pinnochet to do the job properly! :D

( IActually knew a Spanish girl in the late 70's. Unusually for a Catalan, she was actually very pro-Franco.

She did actually say the magic words, in absolute seriousness...

"In Francos day, the trains ran on time and Women could walk safe at night!"

I think Orwell back in 1946 had already worked out that 'fascist' might as well be a synonym for "people I don't like" going by the way it was (and is) commonly used in the English language

George Orwell said:
The word Fascism has now no meaning except in so far as it signifies "something not desirable"

I don't think it's a good idea to allow people of any political stripe to abuse and harass politicians or public figures at random in the street. A subtle distinction has to be drawn that doesn't stop politicians dodging difficult questions. And like religions and ideas politicians must be allowed to be criticised harshly within the public sphere (just not necessarily by groups of people confronting and screaming at them outside /at work or at home etc)
