Brexit is dominating the news and commons, but the country has real local problems, or does it?

    Vote here.

Seems I cannot make a poll. Here was the choices I was going to add.

1 - Problems? whats problems, its all about brexit.
2 - There is other issues, but brexit should be what we focus on now.
3 - We need to divert resources away from brexit to local issues.
4 - Brexit should become a low priority issue until october.
    5 - What is brexit?

Everything else gets worse if we get brexit wrong (or if we brexit at all, frankly), so that's necessarily the big focus.

Of course, meanwhile everything else is ignored and gets worse. So it's all one big **** up.

    This pretty much.

The entire Brexit fiasco has taken time and resources away from the issues that actually matter (many of which led to the vote to leave but were, in fact, nothing to do with our EU membership).

However, now that we’re in this ****show we have little choice but to see it out because until it’s dealt with nothing else can be easily addressed.

Yup, the country has many issues, but leaving the EU will impact negatively on all of them, over a very long time. Stopping it needs to be a priority, and the longer it takes the worse everything gets.

I read yesterday that 83% of Govt time in the last year was taken up on Brexit/Brexit related matters.

It's wasting all of the time that should be spent fixing actual problems but to get it wrong would just create new massive problems instead

The problem is that policies that they have put in are the ones that are causing the actual problems not brexit as such brexit is just a cover and until they and the supporters of those ideas accept that it doesnt work they really have no answers. Its the trickle down economics and pull your socks up mentality that is wrong.

This is precisely the issue - Brexit is a response to pre-existing problems. There's an Irexit party in Ireland, which nobody gives a flying **** about because everything's going pretty well.

If there’s no poll then this thread should be closed. There are enough Brexit threads for discussion.

Which transfers into the Government spending 83% of the time scratching themselves.

We don't need yet another Brexit thread.
