yes first up is the economy, everyone mainly wants a job, a household income and prospects right so that that then, economy first, then Brexit which is intrinsically linked to the economy but ideologically different somehow, patriotism and political interference etc. Then comes taxes and what we spend em on. This includes NHS, schools, education (fees), scoial care, social services etc etc etc. How do we best provide and also pensions. Prisions, police, law and order, debt and the deficit etc. Last but not least is housing, social or private, green belt land, the environment, parks, places to enjoy, roads, pollution, etc

Big topics and how nest serves your ideology and opinion in such things, How much should we borrow, how much suffering should we dish out for not borrowing or not etc.

I really don't understand why they've got such a hard on for restricting the internet.

I would love to believe it's all about preventing terrorists and protecting children but when they can't stop VPNs and apparantly can't act fast enough on SMS to prevent terrorist attacks I wonder what they can really achieve by breaking the internet as we know it.

This is May we are talking about, she's had a hard on for it for ages. And people are going to vote for this. The future is looking pretty bleak.

I don't know how any/so many on here can vote for her just based on her authoritarian internet grab. She's a danger to our civil rights and we are just accepting it :(. Especially for such a tech savvy lot like us.

It's a horrible age to live in when we're emulating china. I am concerned how the UKs human rights act is going to look in future.

Don't get me wrong I'm all for preventing terrorism and protecting children but the change in tone from the London bombings from "we will soldier on and not let it change us" to "restrict everything" from one guy and a car they wouldn't have had a hope of stopping even with access to whatsapp messages is deeply concerning. Not saying I don't feel for the people who lost family on that day I really do but it's not as though it could have been prevented based on what I've read in the media.

Almost anyone would have been better than May. At least someone with a clue in regards to technology in a technological age would have been a prime choice.

Unless she owns shares in a VPN company .

Don't you remember the standard reply in the internet privacy threads?

'If you've done no wrong, then you got nothing to worry about'

Which is BS really.

The Labour party is stellar is it?

I just lol at the idea that "vote Tory, get your assets stripped", but nah Corbyn is the 'real' marxist here.

Funny how people just switch to Corbyn as the alternative vote without even it seems looking at what he stands for - though most seem to just be looking at voting in terms of an effective opposition (lol) than as an actual alternative in power.

I've also never heard before so many people, a good number younger but not exclusively, that say they can't relate to any of the political parties this time around and probably won't vote (this includes quite a few formerly diehard Tory supporters in their 50-60s).

Why bother looking at what a party stands for, the Tories keep their conservatism tag simply because its nostalgic, rather than what they actually stand for - which is nothing btw.

Labour also mildly stand for nothing, at least with Corbyn there's a very slight difference.
