Any wireless charging recommendations? Seems like there's quite a few on Amazon that wildly vary from £10-40.

I use a Holife one at work which i bought from Amazon. I think it was about £15 definitely not more than £20. I plugged it into an iPad charger and it works fast enough.

If anything I think it is essential at work. I hated having to tower over my phone to unlock it with FaceID so the charger angles it perfectly so I just tap the screen and it's unlocked.

Max appears to be very popular.

Not hugely surprising. Its the only model currently available that offers something actually new to the buyers of the X from last year. Sounds like quite a few people are moving from an X to an XS Max but very few from an X to an XS.

Oh no, the 326ppi screen is absolute poverty... oh wait, no, it's not. The screen on my 6S is still more than adequate - things are very sharp, and I can read books on a small-ish font with absolutely no difficulty.
That's great! Very happy for you.
However when you've been used to a 1440p resolution on a smart phone I'm afraid you most definitely would notice the change.
Unless im seriously underestimating how iOS scales with screen resolution the issue isn't just PPI here - the difference in games / UI of apps in terms of how much info you get on screen is huge and a massive step down.

Possibly not the right thread to ask but I've reserved my phone on the Apple Upgrade program, do you know if Apple will just let me settle the remaining balance and keep my X? The wife could actually due with a new phone and if they will let me keep it, i'll just square it up and give it to her

They take your X if you want to 'upgrade' IIRC.

Nothing stopping you taking out a new contract though...

I went for silver this time round, haven't had anything but space grey/black since the 3GS! The gold looks a little rosey for me... it'll end up in another Pitaka Aramid case anyway since that was the best thing I found for my 7 Plus in terms of being super thin yet strong.

I tried the X last year then returned it and went for the 8 plus as I prefered the plus size screen and aspect ratios. This year I've ordered the XS Max 256gb in gold. Think this might be a keeper for a couple of years.

I'm tempted by the XS max, I currently have an iPhone SE.

Do you guys who have owned the Plus size phones think they are a good alternative to an iPad or any other tablet.

I'm thinking that maybe I could sell my current iPhone as well as my samsung tablet and just use the XS max. I only use my tablet to browse the internet.

Is the pricing on Three a mistake? Their AYCE plans are less than the plans with a data cap and the same price as an 8GB data plan.

Just seems to cheap compared to everyone else. All prices are for the 64gb Max

Three:
Unlimited everything £57/month + £250 = £1618 LESS £65 on Quidco
Unlimited everything £64/month + £99 = £1635 LESS £65 on Quidco

Plans include more roaming than the competition and 30gb tethering. You can get contracts which include Airpods for an additional £6/month (£144, £159 value). The AYCE tariff is essentially £18 a month, seems reasonable.

Compared to EE/Voda/O2 who's prices are frankly a joke.....

EE:
30gb Data, £83/Month + £50 = £2042 Less £70 Quidco :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Voda:
8gb Data, £71/Month + £129 = £1833 less £70 Quidco (includes 24 month subscription to Spotify/Primve Video, Now TV or Sky Sports (£240 value)
24gb Data, £70/Month + £79 = £1759 less £70 Quidco
42gb Data, £77/Month + £79 = £1927 less £70 Quidco (includes 24 month subscription to Spotify/Primve Video, Now TV or Sky Sports (£240 value)

O2:
20Gb Data, £71.84 + £100 = £1824.16 Less £90 Quidco
50Gb Data, £75.84 + £100 = £1920.16 Less £90 Quidco
