My google-fu is failing today, and I'm after more personal recommendations, of places to play pool in Berkshire, preferably somewhere along the a3095, Bracknell has Riley's snooker club, but not sure if that's members only, and we're looking for some middle ground between Bracknell and Sandhurst, so perhaps any ideas in Crowthorne? ideally a comfy atmosphere, pub/bar or something?

My club is £5 a year membership and unlimited (£10) for all night on Monday, Wednesday night only, other wise Tuesday, Thursday, and all weekend is £2.50 per hour

rileys are running a £10 offer that gets you 2 free pints 2 hours on a table and free membership.

you cant beat rileys its like £1.85 for a pint of carling and £2.80 for a guinness and its nice pint.

also they do american pool there if your worried about snooker tables being too big just play some american pool since the tables are bigger than our english pool tables. once your hitting the balls in most of the time start playing snooker, its a lot more fun.

its about £6 for 2 hours but you get the third for free so it works out at £2 a hour.
 
again, not looking for a membership really, it's a date, and just after some nice pub/bar that has a pool table really

too cliché, and I'd rather not have to bribe her with food to get her to come out :p I like to do more interesting/fun things :) this way we can chat and play pool, laugh about how terrible we are etc

indeed, taking a girl to do something like bowling or pool is a lot better than taking her to a movie or somewhere to eat. How do you expect to get to know each other better if your sat 2 hours not talking in a cinema or while your stuffing your face full of food.

Tim who told you taking a girl to a restaurant is good ? its probably the second worst place to take a girl ever.

wouldn't say a restraunt is a terrible place to go on a date, just feel a personal obligation, as a gentleman to pay, and then I feel like I'm paying for her time/attention lol, but then if you do go for food, you've gotta be careful, nothing too spicey, nothing messy, there's a lot of etiquette to consider :p

much easier to smash balls around a table with sticks :D

Worked for me on wednesday. Nice restaurant, then over the road to a wine bar.
I'm just jealous really, would be cool to have a GF that liked pool:p

well, I'm looking for opportunities to *have* conversation, she's a quiet person, I'm a man of few words, I talk more when drinking or in comfortable company.

Last sunday I was at hers with her housemates etc playing Cranium the board game etc, and was good fun, but didn't get much chance to actually talk, so hoping this will provide more opportunity, still early days, not counting chickens and all :p

if shes your gf then yes its ok and it will be going well since you allready know her, but on a first/second/third meeting you want to be doing something fun. I know someone who once made the mistake of taking a girl to the club he met her in, needless to say it wasnt the best of ideas :P
