I was under the impression from various people here that it was possible to take my number from O2 online to O2 offline as they are two seperate companies.
Now I've spoken to various several 3rd party phone dealers and they have made it clear that it is not possible because afterall, its all on the O2 network and it is still looked at as tranfering from O2 to O2 which is not possible.
If it is possible then its still no use cause these 3rd party dealers still won't take you on.
I remember a while pack a guy who may have mentioned it on these forums was having the same problem and he got around it by porting to Orange PAYG, then porting back to O2 Online with a new 12-month contract getting his phone for free.
The reason I am doing this is the fact that the Upgrade offered to me is awful, I mean awful.
Can this still be done and if so, what's involved when porting to PAYG?
