So I've been having a problem with my Phenom 9850BE failing linpack and Prime95 blend (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17988780 ). I thought it was the CPU as first as I even switched the motherboard and still had the same problem (Same model motherboard). I got a replacement Phenom yet I'm now having exactly the same problem as before.
Could the current board have damaged the Phenom? I've also noticed that the Vcore2 reading in speedfan ranges from 1V to 3V. That's too big a reading for me to be happy.
I've ran memtest and the memory passed which just leaves the CPU or could the motherboard be at fault also? How could I test it without breaking another chip?
