Possible to get a decent card for £70?

As per title really. I have a friend who is building a computer on a budget and has about £70 left on top everything else left for the graphics card.

So can he get anything reasonable for that price? He's not really too keen on buying second hand, and it needs to BE PCI-express.

Well depends what for, you say decent so we're talking games I assume.

Nearest I can reccomend is the X800GTO @ £82 including VAT.

The 6600's at a similar price aren't bad cards but the 800 is better.

Yeh, basically the best performance in games that is possible for that price.

I only know what to look for when spending £300+

Do ATI tend to be better at the lower end of the pricing market?

Seen as you guys are talking about the X800 cards how good are the X850 XT cards as I'm considering getting one? It looks like a great value card and 16 piplelines to.

The X850XT is a very good card for the money.
Should overclcok to X850XT PE speeds also.
