Possible to scrap a car and get a bit of money for it?

I'd sell it privately list the known issues, it did still pass mot so likely some one will buy it and repair.

I'm sure it be more than you'd get if scrapping it, even if not by much

Get a WBAC online price. Then start an Ebay auction with it as the starting price. I sold a non-running car like this recently and was surprised how much it sold for compared to the WBAC price. But be warned that you'll get umpeen muppets messaging you for your 'best price mate' and ooffering to take it off your hands to avoid timewasters for £3.50.

Sold two cars which had been written off but repairable over the last couple of years on Ebay/Gumtree. Both times people who had the time and know-how to put them back on the road. Kept in touch with both owners and they did cracking jobs on the car (particulary sad to see the Panda 100hp go! :( )

There will always be someone out there willing to take it off your hands.

Be prepared for the idiots who dont read the adverts though! Depsite advertising as a write off, sorn and uninsured very clearly still had people wanting to try and drive home
