Post drinking remorse

Not so much remorse for the hangover, but the money.

Do you ever wake up in the morning, and just hate yourself for getting drunk and spending ridiculous amounts of money the night before?

Not any more, but I have done in the past. Live and learn.

It basically just calculates the annual cost of whatever you do and estimates how many days you have to work to pay for it.

It's handy because people tend to not understand the true cost of repeated smaller payments, e.g. you wouldn't go out once a year and blow £1500 on booze and food, but you might very well spend £30 a week doing so and that's £1560 a year.

dad an alcoholic?
Ummm, yes, actually. But don't think he's a loser boozer, he's a functional alcoholic. He's been very successful in local government, sits on several NICE committees, has two degrees but yes, very fond of the booze. I think he's given it up now though (after it cost him two marriages and contact with a son (not me)).

You should try staying in and drinking tbh, invite your mates over all chip in a tenner to get food and beers, then voilà all sweet and cheap, also getting some money together to pay for a bit of light entertainment ;) is a must lol.
Pretty much this. A bottle (or two) of something strong between a few people combined with staying in is incredibly cheap, but just as boozy.

I haven't drunk this month, except the odd can in the house.

It feels great, no hangover and no regrets about spending money I can't afford to! :)

Some people just don't learn. It's why I give up bindge drinking along time ago. Money spent for no reason, weeing it down the toilet, no memories and horrible thrown together food also known as junk. I'm over all that now and what people have to realise is it's really not worth it once it's all added up. Some people could acctually have their own house purchased with the amount of money they spend over the years but each to their own.

I hate the morning after feeling! Especially on a weekday and knowing you have work! I'm trying to be more sensible in my drinking now, done some silly things in the past whilst drunk not good!

Sorry to hear that. But well done on him being functional. I bet that's difficult.
