Post Office - Lost my tracking number, but have the recept of payment

A slightly random question: If I sent something ParcelForce 24 from my local post office, and manage to lose the tracking number, do you think the post office will be able to recall the tracking number issued if I give them the receipt showing date/time/till number?

Currently turning the house upside down trying to find the damn thing
