Its 20k that's not likely to depreciate though  so other than maintenance and afaik these are not that difficult to work on yourself (body work aside!) it should be quite a cheap toy :D

All the old new parts are in the US. So importing spares and replacements will be costly. It's a wonderfully over-rated car that was in a few good movies. The only good thing about it is the design. Which is resolutely stuck in the 80s. And shows it. Like a hair metal band that refuses to die and just gets older and more wrinkled from jack daniels induced alcoholism and chain smoking.

As we were going out to lunch and went past it, quite a few people gathered round and started taking pictures, me included :D. Unfortunately it isn't owned by someone in our office.

Most parts are available in the UK. Did a few bits on one for a mate they are fairly simple to work on..

The best thing about the Delorean is that it will never age like a modern car. It never had a successor it is what it is and always will be so long as they are kept alive.

I'd love one, it encompasses my childhood memories thanks to the movies that evoke those childhood imaginations and dreams. I need one in my life one day!

Also, it's a 80/81 so the rarest. You can tell because the bonnet is completely flat without the cut out for the fuel filler in the later models.
My mate has the same model and he's spent about £30k having it completely sorted. He even spent £100 on a genuine digital LCD clock from the US to keep it perfectly original.

He lends it to companies to do promotions etc. If you ever see a DMC12 at a promo event, chances are it's his.
