Dunno, I've never met anyone who got "caught" :p

The colour on the V5 would be wrong too, but a lot of people remove the wrap before they sell it.

it makes sense that you should have to tell them, but i thought you didnt have to because it is classed as temporary?

Maybe thats insurance?

You always had to tell your insurer, but as I understand it the DVLA clarified the position on wraps (and plastidip etc) a while ago and they stated that any change had to be declared - there's no definition of temporary. To me, temporary would mean a few weeks, not 3-5 years (which seems to be the accepted lifetime of a wrap).
