I only have one 1210mk3 :\ a lot of reasons why I only got one, lack of money, lack of space to put them in... but when I move into my flat I'll finally get it a partner, I have a mixer and plenty of tunes.

Would ideally want another mk3 to match, but I know thats going to be a hard task.

God I miss my tunes :(

download the demo of traktor DJ studio and hook it up to your mixer - should get those DJ vibes going til you can afford another 1210 :D

I really cant get my head round traktor at all! IMO it has a horrible interface
and over complicates things :(. If i actually had the time to sit there and learn
with it i may feel different, but for now it aint for me.

When messing around on my computer i use Virtual Dj.

Or better still get yourself the other deck ;)

virtualDJ is MUCH simpler than TRAKTOR to pick up, and tbh does the same thing.

edit - maybe i should read the whole posts before opening my mouth :p

Citronic PD45's - which are Stanton ST150's without the Digital xtra's that go wrong!

Shure WhiteLabel carts - superb cant fault as the treble is so clean :D

Pioneer DJM 707 Mixer - Fader's probably the best in the world but not that keen on the EQ's

As for selection strictly Drum & Bass with a few hundred tunes from 95+

I think it is reasonable given that im a noob when it comes to mixing. 2 of them are fluffed but the rest are ok. On playing it back I can see where improvements could be made, but anyone who feels like playing it, your feedback is welcome.

Firstly if you lose these tracks you've got yourself a half decent classics mix and personally i'd use the magikal or airscape remix of sparkles as well.

Bob sinclair world hold on has got to be one of my most hated tracks this year and has no right to be played along side tracks like endless wave and 1998 (incidentally you played the Gouryella remix). In fact i have to say i really dislike your taste in vocal 'trance' (i think eurodance is the correct genre), sorry if that sounds a little harsh it's just my preference.

What was it mixed with?
 
lol didn't like it much then :p Next time i'll have PvD and lots of it :D

Mixed it on Atomix virtual DJ, internal mixer and all, can't be arsed with the proper mixer.
 
Can't say i'm PvD's biggest fan to be honest :p. I've seen him a couple of times and he was above average but certainly didn't justify the hype that surrounds him. In fairness though i've not heard him in a club and going from experience DJs perform 50x better in clubs as opposed to bigger events.

As for his productions i've got a bit of a love hate thing going on. All his work with BT rocks, i love tracks like nothing but you and a few others but i despise for an angel and pretty much all his new stuff.

for an angel is poor imo. On the other hand, Nothing but you is one of my favourite tracks ever. When he plays that one followed by his remix of Marco V - I feel you during Live at Cream@Amnesia 16/8/02 it is nothing short of magical, words cannot describe the awesomeness.

I've read that thead, couple of really good tracks but tbh the rest i'm not that bothered about.
 
Just to contradict myself a little bit Paul van Dyk - Live@Trance Energy - 10-08-2003 is one my favourite livesets. He starts off very high tempo and keeps it that way throughout, absolutely fantastic stuff.

Feel free to say which tracks in that thread you like, it could do with a bump ;)

:( - have to disagee with you on this. Was the first "real"" Dj i saw back @ Creams Birthday! He played an awsome set - also seen him at Amnesia a few
times all been good. The only thing that winds me up, he is so misereable.
