I thought this would be a good idea.

You can post 1 photo. It must be
- taken by you
- Your favorite shot you have ever taken.
Simple.

I know its ironic thats a terrible photo of a photo :) But of the film i took in paris, this is my favorite, printed by myself. (il try scanning the neg or getting a better shot, but it looks good on paper.)

Next...........
 
This for me, tried something differant at the track and "saw" the shot before actually taking it, set the camera to manual focus and took it... It came out exactly how I wanted it too, first time id been truely happy with a shot that Id taken as it wasnt just a lucky capture.

I seem to have a set of favourite shots but there's one which I keep going back to:

Taken 5/11/2005, from almost 300 shots taken this one was number 3. It was a struggle to go through the rest after I saw this one.

Purely opportunistic, being in the right place at the right time; standing eating ice cream as the sun went down and the colours just appeared and deepened over time. No tweaking done; this is pretty much as shot and just how it looked.........

Lol i have exactly that same shot somewhere. Saw the setup there and thought that would make a good fun shot :-)
For the record i was about 3 feet infront of the nose cone when i took my shot.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with that, there's too much wrong with the shot for it to be a real race - Fisi in car #1 & it's blatently trying to be Monaco, but everyone's running without tobacco branding.

Favourite shot of 2006 will be decided in January. :)

The way I work it out is to decide your favourite shot of each month , then decide your favourite out of the 12.

It's really tough though, because some shots are just as good but in a different category!

I may be able to use Flickr's "Most Popular" ranking to help me decide between two similar shots this year. :)

Autosport 2006 - Main Hall - Recreation of the Monaco 1st corner.
Was sat on my arse about 2' away from the Renault with my A80 balanced on my knees. :D

It was a great place for a picture. Needed to find a time when there was very few other people around though.

Unsurprisingly, you spotted some of the issues. ;)
