If I can only pic one then it's probably this. Not my best, but I think it's my personal favorite (sorry it's a bit big).

Excellent shot. How was this taken/edited? It has an almost 3d quality to it.

Sorry i took a while to reply :) that was taken at sunset from the Aiguille du Midi which is 3840m above sea level :) If you look closely in the bottom left you can make out the river and town of Chamonix in the valley below

Thanks a lot :)

Was taken on a Fuji s9500 30 secs exposure with a Hoya R72 IR filter and red/blue channels swapped in PS. Haven't done much IR recently, hmm, it's sunny outside ...

Thanks, yea I've definately grown out of the over processed HDR look myself, still think it can have subtle applications. If you saw the original image they just look so flat.

Never posted in this part of the forum before but always looked and admired the photos, I'm no photographer myself but these are 2 of my favorite shots

The quality hasnt come out as it should obviously due to resizing and jpeg compression, but you get the idea

Any feedback is more than welcome

Tonks, that really is a stunning shot. I been sat here for about 5 mins trying to find something that spoils it / something that i dont like about it, and to be totally honest, i cant find anything. very nice indeed.

I've got to agree with everyone else. That is a great shot Tonks :)

Only slight niggle, I don't like the large borders (nitpicking now ;) )

Thanks guys for your comments, I'm touched :)

That shot was taken as the golden sun was setting just outside the frame to the upper left. What makes the shot for me is the atmosphere brought out with the sun setting and reflecting on the large granulated sand and on the water mist thrown up from the pounding surf on the cliffs that surround that shot.. I do think it could have been shot better, a more panoramic shot perhaps? The group of people are all gazing out of the shot to the right, if I had framed the shot to include more of the area being gazed into the shot would be better.

This shot was taken in Scotland in the Spey valley around about 1990 on a 35mm Canon A1. I developed the negatives and used Agfa paper for the print. This print has been hanging on my wall ever since. I scanned the print several years ago using a not so good scanner, this is the result. I need to rescan it....

Strax, I have been having a look at your linked gallery and I must say that your two sunrise and two sunset shots are absolutely stunning. Simple, nice on the eye. Your sunset at Ardrossan 1 & 2 are beautiful, they glow. I would be proud of myself to have those two shots in my collection.
