Hi All

Am looking to facelift my kitchen over the next few weeks, and am looking for inspiration. I know that quote a few people on the forum have redone their kitchen recently etc etc, and thought that a thread with lots of pics in might help me and others !

Nice kitchen Danny!

We bought our first house in November, we decorated the kitchen and bought all new appliances but kept the unit's. It's a nice cosey kitchen we feel. No doubt we'll change it in the coming months money depending.

Oh and tea's on hence the mess :)

Nice Andy mate, good size plenty to work with there as and when you choose. Great size for your first house together. To be perfectly honest I still have the fondest memories of our first house together (me and the mrs not me and you) and that was as Azagoth described his, a two up two down type mid terrace.

It was cosy homely and you didnt feel like you was rattling around the place. One small complaint on yours, the pint glass with the straw? Gandy been knocking you about again so you need to drink through one? ;)

Quite? :p Cheers mate.

I came into some money from a car crash 6 years ago which kind of helped, a lot of saving and it's possible. Would have no chance if I didn't have a partner.

i say Quite because you are a year older then me, and i wouldn't have the chance in getting a mortgage even with a partner!

Anyone have experience of the highly-polished / gloss surfaces ? Do they really scratch as easily as everyone says ?

If you're careful then it doesn't get too bad. The only problem is the the high gloss finish does lose it's shine after a couple of years.
