Hello to all my fellow 'overclockers' ... and a Merry Christmas to you all in advance.

Being new here, I hope I am posting in the correct place for this query - anyaway, here goes:

I have recently built a new gaming rig for myself (the spec I shall include at the end of the post) and the problem I've encountered is at shut down. Everything closes as it should, except the power lights to the keyboard and mouse (Razer Krait) are still on and remain so unless I turn off the power at the mains or at the back of the PSU? I find this odd, especially as when I unplugged both items (mouse & keyboard) that the system should power up without my pressing the power button? I am seriously considering changing the PSU for a Be Quiet! 800W, but that depends on the vendor.

I've built 3 previous rigs and I have never encountered this in any of them. Does anyone have an explanation / solution to this? Many thanks in advance.

Rig specs:
Case - Antec 900
PSU - Nesteq ECS 7001 700W
Motherboard - ASUS P5K Premium WiFi
RAM - GEIL DDR2 Dual Channel Ultra Low Latency PC 6400 800MHz CAS3 x 4Gb
Graphics Card -BFG 9800 GTX+ 512Mb GDDR3
CPU - Intel Q9450 (not yet overclocked) running at stock speed
CPU Heatsink - Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7
DVD-RW LG Super Multi
OS - Vista Home Basic 64-bit

my mouse always stays on after shutdown, and has on my previous rig's.

I thought it was normal, the usb dongle stays lit aswell.

you can set the computer to power on through keyboard or mouse, instead of the power button so there must be power going to them.

p.s. claimed!
