Power Rangers

I've never actually came across an "idiotic biker" truth be told. I like to think of my self as quite observant on the road, so when i see a biker in my rear view I always give them ample room on the outside if they want to go past, generally with a thanks from the biker.

I mean, who am I to stop them from getting through the traffic?

I don't think the majority of bikers are that bad, its just due to the nature of bikes when you see one acting like a moron its usually much more spectacular than any bad driver so it sticks in your mind, I have never seen chavs in a Saxo filtering down the motorway at 100mph.

Most bikers are, I believe good riders. Bikers defiantly have a better good/bad ratio than car drivers. Imo this is because you get good drivers, bad drivers and deliberately bad drivers whereas you only really get good bikers and deliberately bad ones, unintentionally bad bikers are very rare aside from the occasional novice.

Why can't we all just get along?

One of my best friends is a biker, my dad rides bikes and my stepdad races enduro.

However i totally agree with the OP, 90%+ of bikers do seem to be on a single minded mission to kill themselves.

I try to be as aware of bikers as i can, again knowing a lot about bikes from friends and family so always to try give them as much room as i can but still...

I have encountered only one or two bikers that didn't drive in a considerate/polite manner. There's one I encounter most days I drive home - he's the only one (and is clearly fat) that does not thank me when I move over to let him pass.

Everyone else either at least drops their left hand off the handle bar to say thanks, but usually I get a proper thumbs up.
Even on glorious sunny days when it's a biker's paradise and there're groups of 3-5 riding in convoy... and I dare to drive to / through Helmsley or around the dales/Hawes. I have nothing but respect for (most) bikers, and it seems that is reciprocated.
