Hey,

Just got a 7800gtx and after installing drivers it tells me that there is not enough power and that it is going to decrease the performance!!

Running 3800 x2, 1.5gb ram, power supply is 430W thermal tack! Bought it stupidly over a year ago, wish I hadn't now, buy cheap by twice by the looks of things.

Any help guys, am I doing something wrong here?

Edit: Also getting this wave going through my screen!!

i would go with the Corsair 520w if you have the money as it will last you ages and will handle any upgrades you put in it at a later date, if you plan on going sli then 620w i would recommend, rock solid psu's, cant fault them.

mmm...430w should be fine for your card. My m8 has the same card using an Antec 380w that came with his Antec Sonata case!

It does sound like a PSU issue.

How old is this Thermaltake? Was it new a year ago, or used? PSU's degrade with age, so it might be that the 7800GTX has taken it over the edge.

You'll never regret investing in a quality PSU, especially as one failing can kill your components.

Yeah, was me being stupit! Damn cable wasn't in. Still getting this wave though and yeah its on everything. Newest drivers installed.
