PowerColor 6970 pictured and benched

I doubt this is legit, This score is a VERY close to HD6870 performance, my overclocked HD5850 easily beats this.

3D Mark 11 scores mean very little right now, it seems neither nVidia or AMD drivers are opptimised for it or even properly supporting it

Or even trying an actual game would be good

The min fps is shocking! Just hope it's driver related and it's the 6950 and not the 6970.

Nothing as yet has made me want to cancel my 580 order. Disappointed. I was hoping for a good solid leak around now

I would Ignore the min, you get a few caching points on the first loop and it causes low min.

Hmmm, anyone else know if the 6870 supports 4 monitors? Just looking at that box shot in the first picture and it say's it supports 4 monitors. Maybe I am just way behind the times.

As for the performance, it does look poor but I'll reserve judgement till we see actual game benchmarks with up to date drivers.

I can understand "slow" cards for early engineering samples and compatibility testing etc. But not full retail boxed.

I highly doubt its a slow card, it looks full retail in the pics. Hopefully poor results are due to a badly OC'ed cpu or outdated drivers. Pretty dissapointing if not.

4.2ghz x6 isn't a badly OC'ed cpu .

can't imagine any retail product would have a switch on it - so perhaps engineering version ?
